You must go get it now and read it (if I haven't already slid a copy under your nose). It was like a rollercoaster into my heart! One minute I'd laugh so hard I cried, the next I just cried. I heard God speak to me thru the stories and experiences shared by Vince. I don't think I've had a book affect me so personally before. Maybe it's just me, but I hope that it's the same for you. Because it's been one of those rides where you get off and run to the back of the line to have another go!It is abo [...]

Great book to help you re-think your faith relationship with Christ when you're feeling stagnant.

Every Christian should read this book. I allows you to realize that it isn't all just superficial and that we have work that needs to get done here on Earth.

Simple and profound, accessible and challenging. A great reminder of the irreducible minimums of living life with Jesus and living Jesus's life.

Funny and poignant. I loved this book. How often do we feel that we are missing out on something or that life is not turning out as we expected.cially when we became a Christian and became all excited about our faith? Vince has a great perspective on this in terms of wearing our t-shirt and I would impress upon anyone to read this book as I think you could get something out of it. The anecdotes are funny and Vince has a relational writing style that makes it easy to read.I have no doubt that this [...]

I really love the way Vince Antonucci talked about choosing between Koyaanisqatsi and Vyinafesh. This actually hit right on what I have been struggling with since becoming a Christian.According to Antonucci, Koyaanisqatsi is from a Hopi Indian word meaning life that is out of balance and this is used to describe those who need to find another way of living because their lives are disintegrating because it is moving at a speed of 150 - 200 mph. While Vyinafesth is a Hebrew word based on Exodus 23: [...]

In spite of the title, the book was quite thought provoking. The emphasis was on appliction of the Word to life. Something that stood out once again was that Jesus was never in a hurry. His method of caring for people was to focus on the person standing right in front of him. He encourages us to "learn the unforced rhythms of grace." We never see Him run. At the end of the book were recommended books. Many of them I've read and liked, so that certainly increased the author's credibility.

It took 90 pages, but this book finally hooked me and brought up some thought provoking topics to ponder. For all the cheesy jokes and ramblings-on, there are some profound stories and spiritual life lessons to be had. It takes a while to warm up to Vince, but once you do, you'll be glad you took the ride. Just don't get puked on!

I enjoyed this book, it found its way into my hands at a time that made it especially helpful to me. I agree with the thesis that the life of a disciple is to be lived first hand, rather than vicariously through one's leaders/heroes of the faith.

First "Christian Living" book that I came to see as so much more than just another Christian Living book. I laughed so much while reading this book and definitely gained new perspective. I'll be rereading this in the future AND will continue to recommend it to my friends!

This book gives a refreshing on the lives of Christians. How far modern Christians have fallen from the tree our church-fathers planted. It's both insightful and hilarious.

Great book! Easy read, funny and full of profound, simple truths.

I enjoyed this book. It showed me that Christianity does not always sit in pews, sacrificing fun for piety. Antonucci is funny and real.

This is one of the best, if not the best, Christian book I have ever read. The author challenged me in ways I haven't been challenged in a long time. I highly recommend this book

I remember reading this last year and really liking it. I forgot to write a review of it at the time and now I can't remember much about the book. I guess it didn't have sticking power!

I like Antonucci's humor and his strong call to genuinely follow Jesus, a great challenge for a part of the country given to cultural Christianity.
