Do you want to know why i read this book, despite my resentment to cheating and infidelity??? BECAUSE for the first time in my life I read a book with the heroin that "stood up for herself and for what she believed in and walk away from something that she felt wasn't good enough, because she new in her heart she deserves better"which was making a decision that would change her irreversibly and her life for ever after finding out her husband's ultimate betrayalhis secret. affair his infidelity!Th [...]

Finally a heroine who knows her value!!!! YES, YIPPEE, HOORAY!!* May contain spoilers*Thank you CG for writing a story about a women who does not accept cheating- no matter how much her husband "used" to love her and used to be this great guy. She knows her worth and knows that she can be better without a cheating husband. This book was gut wrenching. no doubt about it. To see the good times in a marriage, to see when the guy was nice, thoughtful and loving, and then to see how, despite all that, [...]

Finally a book where heroine does not take the cheating ass back! I would have given this a 4* but I wanted to see the cheating ass suffer more and maybe his PoV would have been great at the end thus my 3.5*

Oh God. Could it be??? A female protagonist who actually loves herself?!“A man who respects his wife, does not sleep with other women. And a woman who respects herself does not allow her husband to get away with it.”I wanted this book to be a lot better than it turned out to be. The premise was interesting, but the execution, however, left much to be desired. I knew going in what was going to happen (having read the other reviews) so I wasn't dreading her giving in to him. That's why I was h [...]

Finalmente a heroína chuta a bunda do bastardo traidor e manda ele passear.Gostei, porque a vida continua e você não é obrigada a aceitar uma situação que vai contra aquilo que você acredita.--------------------Finally the heroine kicks the ass of the cheater bastard and tell him to walk.I liked it, because life goes on and you are not obliged to accept a situation that goes against what you believe.

You know, I have no one to blame but myself. I was looking for books where the hero cheats. And I found one but it's kind of broken me. It's opened up wounds that I thought I buried along time ago. This is a realistic look on a relationship that goes through the cycle of infidelity. The late nightse secret phone callsat awful feeling in your gut because YOU KNOW that your husband isn't being faithful. But you try to lie to yourself and say that he isn't. All the while that little nagging feeling [...]

I cried! I was emotional and anxiety ridden. I just loved this book. It was a little rough to read at first, for personal reasons. All the feelings Hailey was feeling at the beginning I totally understood all too well. Its just a great book on decisions that you make in a relationship for not only the relationship but for yourself. It questions your own self worth. Do you love yourself enough to walk away? Do you care enough about yourself go not tolerate the bullshit. If you've ever been in an [...]

Warning: This review does have spoilers in it!!My ThoughtsThis was a really good book. It was so different from other marriage/ relationship books. It brought out emotions that I might not have wanted to deal with but have no choice. I always thought that if I were to ever be cheated on, then I would automatically leave the guy. No second chances or forgiveness, just leave him, because I believe that cheating is a multiple step process. Someone doesn’t accidentally cheat on you, no they took t [...]

The plot is generic and traditional - it should have been a "ho-hum" effort - and it wasn't. We've all been there - well 99% of us - attached to a cheating man, whether as teenagers, young singles or married women. The impulse to cling on through thick and thin is inherent in our gender, who have been encouraged from small girls to nurture, to placate, to feel guilty about everything that goes wrong. I'm generalising here of course, and particularly about my older generation. I am hoping the lat [...]

This was a horribly hard story to read. At times I almost felt like I was having a panic attack. It was so hard to read. It was not because, thankfully, I have ever gone through this situation. It was because the story was so well written that you felt every horrible emotion the heroine was going through at the moment. Even if the story was not well written, I may have gave it 4 stars just for the ending of it. I am so thrilled to finally read a story with a strong heroine that chooses herself o [...]

Unfortunately I know all too well what hayley was going through. I give her so much credit for standing up for herself and what she believes in.

I loved this book. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. This book was about the struggles, the trust and the fidelity in a marriage!Chase and Haylie had been married for 5 years and like with any marriage, work and stress put a strain on their personal life. Haylie started to notice that Chase was coming home later and later and that he was taking business trips that weren't necessary in his line of work. Haylie started to become suspicious when Chase and his cell phone suddenly bec [...]

I really enjoyed this story because the heroine actually had a backbone. I love the fact that there was no magic pen in this book at all. The book was a quick but very enjoyable read.

** I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. ** This book is not the genre I typically read. However, the book is well-written and I really liked it. My heart broke for Haylie. I really hoped that Chase's behavior was the result of something else like stress at work or something. When Haylie discovered the truth, my heart was so sad for her. I kind of guessed the twist that occurred in Kettlewood Island. Although, I guessed it from the beginning, it was interesting to see h [...]

Haylie's marriage is falling apart. She and her husband, Chase, used to be so close, but he's showing every sign that spending any time with her is the last thing he wants. Lonely and afraid, she forces herself to confirm her fears, and in reaction to everything she discovers she escapes to a beautiful beach town to decide what to do next. Should she try to save her marriage or walk away for good? Now, to be honest, I've been worried that I may be suffering from chick lit overload. Some of the st [...]

****************MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS***********************I was sent an ARC for an honest review. The book was really well written. The only thing that I had a small problem with is how the story kept going back and forth from Haylie's memories and then back to present day, but other than that it was a really good book. Haylie and Chase have been married for 5 years and it starts off where Haylie suspects Chase is having an affair. She goes through a lot with struggling to come to terms with Ch [...]

Haylie has had some bad experiences with men but when she met Chase she knew that he was her happily ever after. He convinces her to leave the life she knows and her family to follow him to Charlotte, NC where he is working to make partner in a law firm. They have a wonderful life with a beautiful home and lovely cars. He is working so hard and spending so many hours in his pursuit of partner, however, that things in their lives begin to unravel. As time passes Haylie begins to become so discour [...]

3.5 StarsI really liked this book, even though it doesn't have your typical HEA. I normally hate reading about cheaters because everything is usually forgiven too fast. Chase the main character (I can't call him a hero) was really terrible and manipulative to his wife Haylie. I would have a had a hard time ever forgiving or trusting him and I appreciated that Haylie wasn't a doormat. She made hard decisions, but in the end was true to herself. This wasn't an easy book, but I'm glad I read it. I [...]

The writing was good and flowed well, but this story is just plain SAD. There is no HEA for either Haylie or Chase, and poor Meghan, how heartbroken was she? I suppose these situations happen all the time, but unfortunately when they do, you are left with a really bad taste in your mouth and wondering if you can ever trust again. Of course you can see it coming and I just wanted to slap Chase and tell Hailey to open her eyes, which she eventually did but the damage was done and her life left in [...]

Tear Stained Beaches is the first novel by Courtney Giardina. It is a fun, quick read. I think most women can relate to Haylie if they have ever been hurt by a man anytime in their life. She was easily relatable, and I could understand her struggle. It makes me realize why I continue to not be in a relationship or date sometimes the extreme pain and sadness from relationships isn't worth the short term happiness they can bring (based on my own experiences). Overall, it was a well-written story w [...]

This is the only book thus far that I have read where I was actually happy that there was no reconciliation for the couple. I mean, yes, I was extremely disappointed they didn't work things out but I still was able to be content with the ending. That sad, I loved everything about the book - the characters (yes even the husband and his fool of a skank LOL), the writing and the storyline. The ONLY reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because I was SO mad that there wasn't more! LOL

TSB is the heart w wrenching tale about a women who has her life turned up side down after finding out her husband committed the ultimate betrayal and how she had to make the toughest decision in her life. I loved this story it shows the true courage a women has for herself when dealing with a crisis that can affect the rest of your life and how she stood up for what she believed in regardless of any other opinions.

FavoriteWhat a beautiful emotional story about a broken marriage. This is a book that will stay with me. I couldn't put this book down, even if it only took a couple of hours to read. I would love to see a book about the two of them later down the road and even a story about Meghan.

What a great book; what a great writer. It grabbed me by the heart and didn't let go until the finish. I'm so glad the author didn't cop out with any easy answers or great new man riding into the situation on a white horse to rescue the wounded, etc. She had the courage to keep it real.

    Chantele Valpey
For me, definitely a 5 star book! I could not put it down! You could feel the emotions that the author was portraying. I will definitely recommend this book to others, as well as the author!

2.5 stars.I don't really know how I feel about this book, but I'm glad I read it.

Unless the author writes this couple getting back togetherWhat a waste of my hard earned money this book was. The Only way to make me feel different is for this author to write a second book where this couple gets back together.
