Teaching Acceptance Early! In this book,"Just The Way I Am", the author speaks age approximately to the readers of this book. It addresses that while you might try to hide things about yourself, the truth is that we are all born uniquely and precious. As a Kindergarten Teacher myself, I would recommend this book to any prekindergarten or Kindergarten classroom

Nice rhyme and rhythmI really did enjoy reading this to my kids, the only hiccup was near the end. The book's message is quite nice, but I skipped the references to God.

Surprise, jesus stuff! We tend to pick bedtime stories quickly and may not always read all the reviews past the title, photo, and initial description. It would be convenient if religious books were clearly labeled upfront so that we could avoid them.

Andrew is a young preschooler who tries to be very responsible. One night while washing his face and brushing his teeth, he notices a stain on his arm. Andrew becomes agitated over what his friends at school might think so he places a sticker on it to hide it. Of course the next night the sticker washes off and the stain reappears. Andrew comes up with two other solutions to hide it, which don't work either. Finally, he turns to his mother with the problem. She explains that both he and his fath [...]

Just The Way I Am (Idan Hadari 2013) is suitable for ages from 3 to 8. It tells the charming story of Andrew, a pre-schooler, who notices a stain on his arm whilst washing. Not knowing that it is simply a birth mark he embarks on various attempts to hide it until his mother explains all. Idan Hadari has managed an excellent marriage of the visual and the written. The story can be followed through the illustrations by the very young and phonetically through the rhyme by older children. The bright [...]

I felt that Idan did a great job writing this book! the creativity and pictures were great! It even had some suspense to it but yet not enough I don't think to keep, the child(-ren) awake if this were to be read to at bedtime. The only suggestion I would have is that the type setting so that it would be a bit larger so that the child could eventually be more apt to be able to read it when they were able to do so. Like when the were in the first grade perhaps, yes? I recommend this book for parents [...]

I loved this story. When a child learns that he can and should accept himself for the way he is blemishes, stains and all, you know that said child will grow up to become a good stable human being. This book is very well written to bring the above mentioned point to a child. You are loved just the way you are. WaAr

Nice story about physical imperfection.I thought the story was about self insecurity. It is about a preschool child who notices for the first time in his life that he has a birth mark. Odd no one made reference to it before he was that old ! Odd indeed.

Good ReadThis book has great rhyming and story line. The child independently tries to fix his problem before getting help. And there are multle attempts so you can prompt children often.
