    Jessie Daniels has an MA and PhD in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin, where she worked with Joe R Feagin past president of the American Sociological Association Following that, she was a Charles Phelps Taft Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Cincinnati, where she worked with Patricia Hill Collins past president of the American Sociological Association Daniels is the author of two books White Lies Routledge, 1997 and Cyber Racism Rowman Littlefield, 2009 , both dealing with race and various forms of media She is also the author of peer reviewed journal articles and conference presentations dealing with race, gender, sexuality and new media Daniels is at work on a number of new research projects that will eventually become books Daniels is also at work on a memoir about growing up in South Texas during school desegregation with parents who were deeply racist.
