I m an introvert by nature, so how I ended up being a writer whose success is measured in the public arena, I m not quite sure Maybe it has something to do with being born and raised in Kentucky, but moving north as an adult where life is a daily struggle of trying to convince my neighbors that grits and cornbread don t need sugar but iced tea does, moonshine can be enjoyed by women without any fear of growing chest hair, and the word smile has only one syllable Or maybe it s because I have to write the voices down to shut them up, and once they re written down I might as well share them.Or maybe it even has something to do with reaching out to people through my writing because I might be able to touch them in some way.Whatever the reason, I ve set my path and I m loving the journey Peace, love, and flip flops, y all

59% pausing indefinitely. Great story line and very well written but it reads like a romance comedy. I love to watch romance comedies but I don't like to read them. Plus I don't like books where the author feels the need to add unnecessary subplots. I got tired of reading then skimming then all out having to skip over the parts about the heroine's alcoholic younger brother. What's his purpose in this story? I would've preferred if author just shortened the book and kept the focus solely on the H [...]

Normally I would give this book 4 stars (because it dragged a bit in the end, when everything was wrapped up perhaps too easily), but I enjoyed the characters, the plot and the writing style so much that I think it deserves the maximum rating. I liked the fact that I didn’t like the heroine that much – she’s a bit nasty sometimes and can become obnoxious, but that made sense. The hero is endearing with all that gruffness hiding an honorable and sweet man. I don’t think that the leg taboo [...]

Well written and easy to read love story. Learn about love. The love that comes from helping others as well as the love that comes from a serious relationship. Feel the give and take. Relax and enjoy the book!

In EmmyLou’s Hands is the latest in Pamela Hearon’s heartwarming Taylor’s Grove series. Building on the friends to lovers trope, this book definitely constitutes a slow build. Emmy and Sol have secrets to share and demons to battle before they can cross over into lovers territory. Their shared past – a one-night-stand fifteen years ago – adds another hurdle to overcome before they can reach their shared HEA. Hearon’s characters are well-developed with obvious flaws and issues to over [...]

LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK !! I've read all of Pamela Hearon's books but I believe this one is my favorite so far. The characters are perfect for each other. They had me laughing so hard . One crazy night didn't go well for them as teenagers so they deemed to never be able to stand each other. Being forced to deal with each other as adults when they both needed someone changed their lives. As a end result they fall in love. If you love romances , this is the book you should read. This is #5 in a seri [...]

A Taylor's Grove story, it focuses on EmmyLou, the hairdresser, and the Afghan veteran, Sol Beecher. She doesn't want people to know her real name and he doesn't want people to feel sorry for him that he lost a leg in the war. How each of them finally come clean is a roundabout story full of laughs and tears enhanced by the Southern colloquialisms that Sol finds endearing.Looking for a good laugh? Read this story and root for both of these great characters.
