    There is a lot going on in this book, and that's a very good thing. Younger readers will really enjoy the various snow figures and the fun that the townspeople have in making them. Older readers will appreciate the artistry of the illustrations and the deeper messages in the story:Appreciate what you have while you have it, because things change and may go away. And don't waste the now worrying about the future to the point where you don't appreciate what's right in front of you.Life, loss, and [...]

    My 7-year-old granddaughter loves this book, in part because it is so visual. The illustrations couldn't be better. The story line appeals to children at one level and adults at another, and this makes it a perfect book to read to your children, regardless of the season. I give it a thumbs up.

    This is easily one of my favorite picture books. The pictures are enchantinge story is enchanting. Again, a good picture book for school age children.
