Nothing new here. I found the pictures and the humour really tacky and dated. It seems it was written for upper middle class suburban families with more money and services than most. Not all bad though.

Another fun, informative and informal book from Kaz Cooke that is great to have at home and digest when you are a new parent. The trick for me was to remember to open it up every week or two and enjoy some of the tips and advice.

I lovedUp the Duff so I had high hopes from Kid Wrangling.I read this towards the end of my wife's pregnancy and it was extremely useful at the time. I suppose pregnancy is alot like getting married - there is a huge build up, and a massive focus on the actual event (be it the birth or the wedding), and very little attention is paid to the real issue (the kid's life or the marriage). So I found this book useful to focus on the longer term - to give me a little understanding about what this "havi [...]

A timesaver, a face/embarrassment saver, a comfort object, this book is a survival guide! Along with a lot of what some people might derisively say is "common sense" ("how do you get that if you've never been around children", says me?) this book answers a lot of questions you don't like to ask anyone else, and it is there to refer to at 4 o'clock in the morning. Provides good answers and reasons/research behind the answers too, which is very handy for dispelling old wives tales and repelling un [...]

I bought this book when I was pregnant with my first child, having read and loved Up the Duff: The Real Guide to Pregnancy. It is a simple, easy to navigate, light hearted tool for first time parents covering the basics like sleep and eating, from birth through to toddlerhood.A great book!

Loved this book. It was practical and covers pretty much everything (more than the other books). Unfortunately there were a few awkward moments in there for me when she kept making fun of "religious americans' (more than just the odd joke) but other than that, very well rounded.

Although I can't really say I've read all of this book yet, it has been great to have a book to turn to when you want some quick info or advice on something baby and child related. I will be using this book a lot over the years to come!

Una de las "guías" para padres más entretenidas que he leído en estos tiempos. La verdad cuando tenga mis propios niños quizá me haga con ella para tener consejos entretenidos y buenas risas con algunos comentarios.

Another no-nonsense child rearing book. I love how real this book is and how its divided up into appropriate sections so I am able to read the section appropriate to my sons age group put it down for a month and read some more.

It's a makes a great reference book for parents. You can find a little info on lots of different topics (or problems) pretty quick.

A good book but I didn't find it as useful as 'Up the Duff'.
